How long does a felony stay on your record?

i wanted to know how long is until the next court date after a inmate has his first appearance. My husband is in there for a misdemeanor and his first appearance was sunday at 8am. When is the soonest he can get out w/o posting bond?

they r sopposed to have a court date in less than 21 working days
